Rosemary Hohnen – The Kimberley, Western Australia

Here’s a few pics from field work in February and June 2012 up in a remote part of the North Kimberley (Western Australia) called the Artesian Range. We were trapping plenty of interesting critters like the golden bandicoot, a species that was once distributed right across mainland Australia but is now restricted to isolated pockets of the north Kimberley. It’s an amazing place to work, but you’re kept on your toes by the intense wet season storms, raiding parties of quolls, and friendly ticks.
